About

Kanak Sikshan Sansthan has been providing a New Asha Special School for street and working children, as well as for those who are deserted, orphaned, or from socially marginalized backgrounds. Additionally, it offers Vocational Industrial Training, General Education, Special Education, and Rehabilitation Training for children with special needs. 
Association aims to provide street and working children, deserted, orphaned, children of socially, marginalized, disabilities towards empowerment in the right mode through a holistic approach. The holistic approach encompasses programmes of prevention, notification, early intervention, education, training, and independent living services, while rehabilitation services will provide physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychological therapy, family support, and other related services. Also work on creating, enabling, and empowering the environment, communication, mobilization, and self-help group formation and activation.

Main Objectives of the Association

  1. Built campus cities in the communication of South West Delhi district to service, at least the street and working children, orphanage students , children of socially  marginalized disabilities.
  2. To provide therapy and other special services to take care of the needs of at least a hundred persons with disabilities in a month.
  3. Create an awareness  in the committees to enlist their support in this cluster area.
  4. Develop and strengthen self help groups and parent associations  in this cluster area.

Activities and services in New Asha Special School

Evaluation and assessment by the Team of Experts.

Early intervention programme.

Medical services.

Psychological intervention program.

Special education classes for parents with self-health skills and overall hygiene, gross and motor skills, etc.

Yoga and music classes for students with intellectual disability.

Participation in cultural and sports outdoor activities (i.e., SOB stands for Special Olympic Bharat and Ehsaas Foundation).

Nutrition-balanced meals are also provided in midday meals.

Free periodic elevation and assessment by specialists.

Prevocational vocational training for economic rehabilitation, candle making, and envelope making.

Providing speech therapy to special students.

Parent counselling is also provided by conducting workshops in the school itself.

Distributing Aides and special appliances with the help of Starkey Hearing Foundation, India.

We also provided special employment services by catering to special needs.

We also teach them behaviour modification.
